Tim is Chair of the council and a member of the General Governance Advisory Group, the Planning Committee, the Planning Advisory Group and the Communications Advisory Group. He has lived in Stocksfield for over thirty years, having moved here after spending his childhood and teenage years growing up in Rowlands Gill. He has enjoyed a varied career in finance, regeneration, recruitment and as a professional DJ. He is married and bought his third (and current) house in the village in 2016.

Paul Vickers is Vice Chair of the Council. He was born in Newcastle but was brought up in the south from the age of three. His family moved back to the north-east in 1988 and his parents settled in Stocksfield. Paul moved back in 2001 after studying and working in Liverpool for sixteen years. Now retired, he holds the title of Emeritus Professor in the School of Computer Science at Northumbria University where he continues his research activities. Paul is married to Gina and they have three grown-up children (all of whom went to local state schools) and two grandchildren.

Originally from Kent, Clare worked in London until 1988 when she saw the light and moved to the North East. She has lived in Stocksfield since 2001 with husband Toby, choosing this village as a safe place to bring up two children who spent happy years at Broomley First School and local middle and high schools. Clare retired in 2025 from a long career in marketing and communications working in both the public and private sectors.  She is a member of the Church of England in Stocksfield and a trustee of the Friends of St Peter’s Bywell charity, established in 2016, which raises funds for the upkeep and maintenance of the church. Clare is interested in all aspects of village life and particularly community spaces and the natural and built environment.

Chris is the convener of the Rights of Way and Environment Advisory Group, chairs and convenes the Sports Fields User Group and is a member of the Planning Committee. He works as a Statistical Market Research Consultant and has young daughters at Broomley and Ovingham schools. He is a coach for 2 teams at Stocksfield FC and can often be found playing 6 aside football on the MUGA.

Lynne was co-opted onto the parish council in September 2025. Lynne has lived in High Mickley since 1998. She is a Professor Emerita of Interactive Experience at the University of Sunderland and Director of a small immersive technology company.

Mike has lived in Stocksfield for over 30 years. He is Chair of the Planning Committee and Convenor of the Planning Advisory Group. Both of his children went to local schools. Since the late 1970s he worked at Tyne Tees Television as a Camera Operator and Supervisor until his retirement. In 1995, he trained as Assessor; Trainer and Coach, and in Recruitment & Selection, for Skillset. From 2000 he was Head of the Camera Dept. and also Health and Safety Officer at TTTV and is now retired.
